This specimen was lot 1460 in Jean Elsen sale 120 (Brussels, March 2014) where it sold for €420 (about US$691 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
" NEDERLAND, GELDERLAND, Provincie, AR prinsendaalder (gehelmde rijksdaalder), 1600, Droit: Geharnast bb. van Willem van Oranje nue radié. Revers: Provinciewapen onder een toernooihelm. Zeer Fraai (Netherlands, province of Gelderland, silver prince's daalder of 1600. Obverse: armored bust of William of Orange bearing a sword; reverse: provincial arms under a mantled helmet. Very fine.)"
As Dav-8832, this type was issued 1593-1600 and as Dav-4828 it was issued 1606-43, where it appears in the SCWC.
