Sincona sale 35, lot 5161
This specimen was lot 5161 in Sincona sale 35 (Zurich, October 2016), where it sold for 350 CHF (about US$416 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"Freiburg/Fribourg | Stadt, 10 Kreuzer 1709. Selten. Gutes sehr schön. (city of Fribourg, ten kreuzer of 1709. Rare. Good very fine.)"
This was the only issue of this denomination in the eighteenth century and is rather rare. Ten kreuzer = 2½ batzen = 1/16 thaler.
