This specimen was lot 203 in Sincona sale 54 (Zurich, May 2019), where it sold for 8,000 CHF (about US$9,520 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"Frankfurt, Stadt, 1/4 Dukat o. J. (1745). Auf die Kaiserkrönung von Franz I. Belorbeerte Büste im antiken Harnisch nach rechts. Rv. Strahlendes Dreieck über Podest worauf Kaiserkrone, Zepter, Schwert und Reichsapfel. Auf der Seite des Podests Wertangabe 1/4. Von grösster Seltenheit. Fast FDC. (Germany, city of Frankfurt, undated quarter ducat, on the coronation of Francis I. Obverse: laureate, armored bust right; reverse: Shining sun over pedestal with imperial crown, scepter, sword and orb. Of the highest rarity, About uncirculated.)"
This rare type is not listed in the SCWC, which mentions a 3/4 ducat (KM 202), two single ducats (KM 203 and 204) and a 1¼ ducat (KM 205).

Recorded mintage: unknown but rare.

Specification: 0.875 g, .986 fine gold, this specimen 0.85 g.
