The first specimen was lot 1208 in Jean Elsen sale 124 (Brussels, March 2015), where it sold for €220 (about US$274 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"FRANCE, Gouvernement de Défense Nationale (1870-1871), AR 2 francs, 1870 K, Bordeaux. Type Cérès, sans légende. Différent: étoile. Petites griffes. Vendue avec une 5 francs 1871 K, sans légende (B à TB). Très Beau à Superbe. (France, government of National Defense (1870-71), silver two francs of 1870, Bordeaux mint, Cérès head, without legend on reverse. Very fine to extremely fine. Sold with an 1871-K 5 francs without legend.)"
