France 1779-W liard
This specimen is a copper liard struck at the Lille mint in 1779. It is scarce, being priced by Droulers at double the common date (1783-W), tho not particularly valuable in this grade. Its face value was 3 deniers or one fourth of a sol. The type was struck 1777-91 and is known from Lille for the entire span.
