This specimen was lot 50411 in Ponterio sale 168 (Philadelphia, August 2012), where it sold for $175. The catalog description[1] noted, "FRANCE. Ecu, 1778-Pau. PCGS AU-50 Secure Holder. Toned." This product of the Pau mint, which closed in 1791, is slightly scarce.

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: 29.45 g, .917 fine silver, 39 mm diameter.
