This demi-écu au bandeau is from the Lille mint (mintmark "W") and is one of the more common dates of the type. The type was struck in France 1740-74 and the Lille mint was the most prolific producer.

Recorded mintage: 491,512 (common date).

Specification: 14.74 g, .917 fine silver, edge lettered DOMINE SALVUM FAC REGEM, obverse legend LUD.XV.D.G.FR.ET NAV.REX.
