Sincona sale 6, lot 1141
This specimen was lot 1141 in Sincona sale 6 (Zurich, May 2012), where it sold for 700 CHF (about US$969 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"FRANKREICH Louis XV. 1715-1774. Louis d'or au bandeau 1746, Lille. Kopf nach links. Rv. Krone über 2 Wappen und Mzz. W. Kl. Schrötlingsf. Vorzüglich. (France, Louis XV, 1715-74, louis d'or au bandeau of 1746, Lille mint. Obverse: head to left; reverse: crowned arms of France and Navarre and mintmark. Minor planchet defects, extremely fine.)"
This type was struck 1740-70 and is common as French gold coins go and this is a common date.

Specification: 8.15 g, .917 fine gold; this specimen is 8,12 g.
