Altho quarter écus were never produced in France in large quantities, this type, issued 1709-15, is fairly available. This date from the Reims mint is somewhat scarce. There are also 1/10, half and one écus struck during this period with this design.

Recorded mintage: 159,963.

Specification: 7.65 g, .917 fine silver, 28-29 mm diameter.
