This specimen was lot 2489 in Sincona sale 23 (Zurich, May 2015), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted,
"FRANKREICH, Königreich, Henri III. 1574-1589 1/2 Franc 1588. Bordeaux Gutes sehr schön. (kingdom of France, Henry III (1574-89), half franc of 1588, Bordeaux mint, good very fine.)"
The specimen shown is a demi-franc of Henry III of France (r. 1574-89) struck by the hammer at the Bordeaux mint (mintmark "K") in 1588. Duplessy lists this type for 1575-89. Many varieties exist.

Specification: 7.09 g, .833 fine silver, this specimen 6.88 g.
