Sincona sale 46, lot 329
This specimen was lot 329 in Sincona sale 46 (Zurich, May 2018), where it sold for 2,000 CHF (about US$2,400 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"Frankreich, Henri II. 1547-1559. 1/2 Henri dor 1559, Rouen. Selten. Sehr schön. (kingdom of France, Henry II, 1547-59, half henry d'or of 1559, Rouen mint. Rare, Very fine.)"
This type, with a face value of 25 sols tournois, was struck 1550-59 but is much rare than the henri d'or (Fr-368).

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: 1.82 g, .958 fine gold, this specimen 1.79 g.
