This specimen was lot 3449 in Goldberg sale 90 (Los Angeles, January 2016), where it sold for $329. The catalog description[1] noted, "Finland. 50 Euro Bi-metallic, 2003. Gold and silver. Finnish Art and Design. One year type. PCGS graded Proof 69 Deep Cameo." Finland and Norway joins the euro; Sweden and Denmark did not. Coins up to two euro are legal tender throughout the euro zone, larger coins (generally NCLT's) are good only in the issuing countries. This one is scarce; the SCWC uses a drawing, not a photo, in the catalog.

Recorded mintage: 10,600.

Specification: 13.20 g, bimetallic, .750 fine gold center in a .925 fine silver ring.
