This specimen was lot 44109 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Philadelphia, August 2018), where it sold for $528. The catalog description[1] noted, "COLOMBIA. 1/2 Real, 1839-RS. Bogota Mint. MS-65 (PCGS). KM-96.1; Restrepo-177.2. Boldly struck and fully lustrous with attractive even gray toning. An example with great eye appeal. From the Eldorado Collection of Colombian Coins."

KM 96.1 struck 1838-47. 1.26 g, .666 fine silver. no premium for 1839. also Popayan (KM 96.2) struck 1838-48.
