This specimen was lot 1196 in Classical Numismatic Group's sale of the Lissner Collection (Chicago, August 2014), where it sold for $9,680. The catalog description[1] noted, "BOLIVIA, Republic. 1825-present. AR 8 Soles. Potosí mint. Rafael Mariano Bustillo, assayer. Dated 1847 PTS R. Mule. In NGC encapsulation graded MS 65. Superb choice uncirculated with superb original deep toning, shades of red, blue, and purple along with hints of gold. By far the finest example ever graded by 4 grades. Truly a wonder coin. Purchased from Thomas Hamilton, August 1975."

KM A103; C 61. 27 g, .903 fine silver, this specimen 38 mm, 36.79 g, 12h axis. listed for 1841, 1846-48 at about double the regular KM 103 (1841-46). weight is off.
