Kunker sale 263, lot 43
This specimen was lot 43 in Künker sale 263 (Osnabruck, June 2015), where it sold for €3,000 (about US$3,876 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"Erfurt, STADT Unter Schweden. Christina, 1632-1648. Reichstaler 1645. RR Hübsche Patina, Feld der Vorderseite überarbeitet, sehr schön Nach neuesten Erkenntnissen wird der vorliegende Reichstaler heute der Münzstätte Riga zugewiesen. (Germany, city of Erfurt, Swedish occupation, Christina, 1632-48, thaler of 1645. Rare, nice toning, toolin in the fields, very fine.)"
This rare type is also listed for 1648 and as a gold ten ducat piece (Fr-926).
