This specimen was lot 31322 in Heritage sale 3029 (New York, January 2014), where it sold for $705. The catalog description[1] noted, "Mary Groat ND (1553-54), Pomegranate mm, AU50 NGC. Deeply toned with a strong strike on the upper-right quarter of the obverse, emphasizing the crown of Queen Mary." The second groat (S-2508) of 1554-58 referred to Philip and Mary in the obverse legend.
