This ten centavos was minted for El Salvador 1921-1972. On the obverse of the coin is the image of Francisco Morazán, who defeated Guatemalan attempts to conquer Central America, thereby establishing Salvadoran independence.

Recorded mintage: 3,000,000.

Specification: copper-nickel.
