This specimen was lot 9089 in Ponterio sale 151 (Baltimore, November 2009), where it sold for $1840. The catalog description[1] noted, "EL SALVADOR. Provisional Coinage. 2 Reales, 1828-F.P.s. Obverse: POR LA LIVERTAD . SALV . 10Ds 20Gs Reverse: MONEDA . PROVISIONAL . F.P.s 1828; VERY RARE. Nice surfaces, full legends, softly struck in centers. Nicely toned with some original luster. Probably ABOUT UNCIRCULATED."
