This specimen was lot 20143 in Ponterio sale 161 (Chicago, August 2011), where it sold for $5,750. The catalog description[1] noted, "INDIA - PRINCELY STATES. Hyderabad Government. 1,000 Rupees, FE 1340 (1929). P-S267. A significant item which is one of the highlights for this World Paper Money offering. The note is simply stunning with an incredibly large format and enticing Waterlow & Sons design. Incredibly scarce in any state of preservation and quite rare in this Uncirculated state. Fully original paper throughout with a precise impression allow immaculate detail with only a single small spindle hole at upper left to mention. An important opportunity for the advanced collector. Choice Uncirculated."
