This centavo was struck in Bogotá, Colombia, of a type issued 1942-51 and 1957-66. It was struck simultaneously with a nickel plated steel liberty head type issued 1952-58 (KM 275a).

Recorded mintage: 2,500,000 plus 900,000 in nickel plated steel (KM 275a).

Specification: 2 g, bronze, 17 mm diameter.
