This type was issued 1874-1885 at Bogotá under the new decimal system of 100 centavos = 1 peso. The denomination is written as 'CINCUENTA CENTAVOS'.
This specimen was part of lot 25654 in Heritage sale 3014 (Chicago, April 2011) which sold for $218.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "Bogotá 1874-83 10-piece 50-Cs set, KM 177.1 with "Cincuenta". 1874, 1875, 1876, 1877, 1878, 1879, 1880, 1881, 1882 and 1883. Very Fine to Almost Uncirculated. From The Dana Roberts Collection."
