This specimen was lot 12290 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2018), where it sold for $3,840. The catalog description[1] noted, "COLOMBIA. 1871 20 Pesos. Medellín mint. AU-58 (PCGS). Medium yellow gold with superb luster and visual appeal. Well struck and absolutely lovely for the grade, even with some scattered forgivable hairlines. From the Eldorado Collection of Colombian and Ecuadorian Coins." This type was struck at Bogotá 1862-77, Medellin 1867-72 and Popayán 1863-78. Despite the steady issue, the type is rare and expensive.
