This specimen was lot 44217 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Philadelphia, August 2018), where it sold for $105. The catalog description[1] noted, "COLOMBIA. 1/4 Real, 1859. Popayan Mint. EF Detail--Environmental Damage (PCGS). First year of issue. Boldly struck, full details visible, in good shape despite details grade. From the Eldorado Collection of Colombian Coins." This type, struck 1859-62, is very similar to KM 108.2 (1849-58) except it is .666 fine instead of .900 fine.
