Colombia 1859-B decimo
This specimen was lot 44219 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Philadelphia, August 2018), where it sold for $100. The catalog description noted, "COLOMBIA. Decimo, 1859. Bogota Mint. AU-55 (PCGS). Decent strike, lightly toned. From the Eldorado Collection of Colombian Coins." This type was struck 1859-60 as a result of changing the country name from Republica de Nueva Granada (KM 115) to the Confederacion Granadina. A new type would be introduced in 1861 when the country was renamed again, to Estados Unidos de Colombia.
Recorded mintage: unknown but a somewhat scarce date.
