This specimen was lot 12213 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2018), where it sold for $780. The catalog description[1] noted, "COLOMBIA. 1859 10 Pesos. Bogotá mint. AU-50 (PCGS). Even medium yellow gold with some luster and good eye appeal. Very elusive, the first issue of this design type from Bogotá. From the Eldorado Collection of Colombian and Ecuadorian Coins. From Coen-Messer, October 1970." This type was struck at Bogotá 1859-61 and Popayan (KM 129.2) 1858-62. While not cheap, it is considerably more available than the five pesos.
