Colombia 1855-P 1/4 real

This specimen was lot 44202 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Philadelphia, August 2018), where it sold for $90. The catalog description[1] noted, "COLOMBIA. 1/4 Real, 1855. Popayan Mint. AU-50 (PCGS). Decent strike, untoned. From the Eldorado Collection of Colombian Coins." This type was struck at Popayan 1849-58. The previous cornucopia obverse (KM 90.2) was superseded by this pomegranate obverse (KM 108.2).
Recorded mintage: unknown but a better date.
Specification: 0.90 g, .900 fine silver.
