This specimen was lot 44142 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Philadelphia, August 2018), where it sold for $288. The catalog description[1] noted, "COLOMBIA. 1/2 Real, 1844/3-RS. Bogota Mint. AU-55 (PCGS). Clear and bold 4/3 overdate. Decent strike with attractive gray to russet toning. From the Eldorado Collection of Colombian Coins." This type was struck at Bogotá and Popayan 1838-48.

Recorded mintage: unknown but no premium for the overdate.

Specification: 1.26 g, .666 fine silver.
