This specimen was lot 44133 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Philadelphia, August 2018), where it sold for $1,320. The catalog description[1] noted, "COLOMBIA. 1/2 Real, 1843/1-UM. Popayan Mint. VF-30 (PCGS). Clear 3/1 overdate. Weak strike, gray toning. From the Eldorado Collection of Colombian Coins. Ex. Freeman Craig auction, May 8, 1984." This type was struck at Bogotá and Popayan 1838-48.
