This quarter real from the Bogotá mint was issued when Colombia was known as the Republic of Nueva Granada. This specimen was lot 23665 and sold for $1,955 in Heritage sale 3014 (Chicago, April, 2011). The catalog description[1] noted,
"Republic Nueva Granada 1/4 Real 1838 Bogotá, MS65 NGC, Ex-James King (1972), probably from London, and thus likely the Baldwin basement collection. Easily the finest one might imagine. From The Dana Roberts Collection."

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: 0.68 g, 0.666 fine silver, 0.0145 oz silver.
