This specimen was lot 40103 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Philadelphia, August 2018), where it sold for $312. The catalog description[1] noted, "COLOMBIA. 1816-JF Escudo. Santa Fe de Nuevo Reino (Bogotá) mint. Ferdinand VII (1808-1833). UNC Detail — Scratch (PCGS). Warm and lustrous light yellow gold with superb cartwheel and a firm, well-centered strike. Some hairlines are noted on the obverse and a series of scratches hug the left side of the shield on the reverse. From the Eldorado Collection of Colombian Coins. Ex. Credit Suisse, Zürich, May 1973." This type was struck in Bogotá 1808-20.
