This specimen was lot 24481 in Heritage sale 3032 (Chicago, April 2014), where it sold for $4,993.75. The catalog description[1] noted, "Philip IV cob 2 Reales 1665 No-PoS, Nuevo Reino mint, VF. A very handsome specimen despite light corrosion, with a strong strike and a full 4-digit date. Close to full weight at 6.31 grams. The initials of assayer Pedro Ramos appear in various forms in these series, with this date being the only one catalogued that shows the PoS variation. Clearly the finest of the two pieces of this date plated by Restrepo and extremely rare. Ex: Lasser collection (Ponterio 1/2005, lot 786)."
