This specimen was lot 2242 in Sincona sale 33 (Zurich, October 2016), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted,
"Köln, Erzbistum, Dietrich II. von Mörs, 1414-1463 Goldgulden o. J. (1426-32). Fast sehr schön-sehr schön. (archbishopric of Cologne, Dietrich II of Mors, 1414-63, undated goldgulden. Almost very fine-very fine.)"
The archbishop of Cologne was one of the most prolific issuers of gold coins in the late middle ages but output declined drastically after the Reformation.
