This specimen was lot 5534 in Sincona sale 4 (Zurich, October 2011), where it sold for 47,000 CHF (about US$62,523 including buyer's fees).

The catalog description[1] noted,
"SCHWEIZ Chur, Bistum Ulrich VII. von Federspiel, 1692-1728. Dukat 1697. Vierfeldige, verzierte Wappenkartusche, oben zu den Seiten die geteilte Jahreszahl. Rv. Gekröntes, geharnischtes Hüftbild des hl. Lucius mit Reichsapfel und Palmzweig nach rechts. Breiter Schrötling. Sehr selten. Vorzüglich-FDC Ex Leu Numismatik, Auktion 82, Zürich, Oktober 2001, Lot 659 (Aus den Sammlungen H. Wunderly, Zürich, Nr. 262 und H. Landolt, Zürich (gest. 1850). (Switzerland, bishopric of Chur, Ulrich VII of Federspiel, 1692-1728, ducat of 1697. Obverse: quartered arms in cartouche, date above; reverse: armored, crowned half-length bust of St. Luke with palm branch and orb faces right.

Cleaned, very rare, extremely fine to uncirculated.

Chur, among with the rest of Switzerland, left the Empire in 1648 as part of the Treaty of Westphalia which ended the Thirty Years War.

Below St. Luke on the reverse is the city arms, which feature a leaping ibex.
