China 1998 100 yuan KM-1130
This specimen was lot 1687 in Goldberg sale 106 (Los Angeles, September 2018), where it sold for $1,860. The catalog description noted, "China. 100 Yuan, 1998. Small date. Panda seated on rock. NGC graded MS-69." The Chinese government has, since the mid 1980's, produced a mind boggling array of bullion related collectibles. The gold panda is one of the most popular.
