REGULAR STRIKES

Capped Bust Half Dimes were struck from 1829 to 1837 inclusive, in a much shorter span time than on other denominations with this same design (i.e. Half Dollars from 1807-1839 and Dimes from 1809-1837). The following is a complete listing of the dates and die varieties (a more appropriate term for die variety is "die marriage") found in this series. All were struck at the Philadelphia Mint. "LM" refers to the variety listings found in "Federal Half Dimes 1792-1837" by Russell J. Logan and John W. McCloskey, plus subsequent discoveries.
