This specimen was lot 23265 in Heritage sale 3030 (New York, January 2014), where it sold for $51,406.25. The catalog description[1] noted, "Rare and Virtually Flawless Elizabeth II gold Proof 2500 Dollars (1 Kilogram) 2009, PF69 Ultra Cameo NGC. A rare issue of only 50 pieces struck for the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Games celebrating 'The Canada of Today.' The reverse features a Canadian landscape with an integration of both manmade and organic elements. The cameo is dramatic and the surfaces are flawless. Included with this lot are the original case of issue and COA #29 of 50."

Recorded mintage: 2,500 in silver plus 50 in gold.

Specification: 1000 g, .999 silver (KM 902) or .999 gold (KM 902a), 101.6 mm diameter.
