This specimen was lot 3213 in Goldberg sale 85 (Los Angeles, June 2015), where it sold for $617. The catalog description[1] noted, "Canada. 100 Dollars, 1983. 400th Anniversary of St. John's, Newfoundland. In original case. Choice Brilliant Proof." Gold one hundred dollar gold coins were struck to this standard 1976-86, each year with a different subject. All are priced the same in the SCWC.
