Canada 1955 dollar
From CoinFactsWiki
This specimen was lot 23300 in Heritage sale 3030 (New York, January 2014), where it sold for $587.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "Elizabeth II Dollar 1955, PL67 PCGS, lightly toned with reflective surfaces, just a hint of cameo frost. PCGS: 32 in this grade and 2 higher. From The MacLeod Collection of Canada Spe[ci]men, Proof, and Prooflike Dollars." This type, struck at Ottawa 1953-63, is common in all grades but is scarce in unblemished condition. The use of chrome plated dies gave a polished appearance to the coins which in turn magnified the detractive effects of bagmarks.
Recorded mintage: 268,105.
Specification: .800 fine silver, .600 troy oz ASW, reeded edge.
