This specimen was lot 23480 in Heritage sale 3024 (Chicago, April 2013), where it sold for $2,467.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "George V 50 Cents 1916, MS64 PCGS Belzberg, frosty white mint luster with bold design features, a choice example with flashy eye appeal. Rare date in this amazing quality. From The Nikita Collection." This type was struck 1912-19 and was superseded by KM25a, struck 1920-36, which was only .800 fine silver. This is a better date of the type but is scarce in high grade.

Specification: 11.62 g, .925 fine silver, .3456 troy oz ASW, reeded edge.
