This specimen was lot 32552 in Heritage sale 3064 (Chicago, April 2018), where it sold for $330. The catalog description[1] noted, "Victoria 5 Cents 1898 MS62 NGC. A frosty and darkly-toned piece with hints of golden color and residual luster." This type was struck 1858 and 1870-1901 in substantial quantities and most dates are fairly plentiful up to Extremely Fine.

Recorded mintage: 580,717, an uncommon date.

Specification: 1.16 g, .925 fine silver, .034 troy oz ASW, reeded edge.
