This specimen was lot 23407 in Heritage sale 3024 (Chicago, April 2013), where it sold for $1,351.25. The catalog description[1] noted, "Victoria 10 Cents 1858, MS64 NGC, a choice example of this first date with frosty white mint brilliance and well-struck details, very scarce in this certified grade." The type was struck in 1858 and 1870-1901. This date is common tho a rare 1858/5 exists.
Recorded mintage: 1,250,000.
Specification: 2.31 g, .925 fine silver, .069 troy oz ASW, 18 mm diameter, reeded edge.
