Künker sale 293, lot 532
This specimen was lot 532 in Künker sale 293 (Osnabruck, Germany, July 2017), where it sold for €210 (about US$283 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"BRAUNSCHWEIG UND LÜNEBURG, BRAUNSCHWEIG-WOLFENBÜTTEL, HERZOGTUM August der Jüngere, 1635-1666. 1/4 Reichstaler 1666, Zellerfeld, auf seinen Tod. Hübsche Patina, kl. Schrötlingsriß, sehr schön. (duchies of Brunswick-Luneburg and Brunswick Wolfenbuttel, Augustus the Younger, 1635-66, quarter thaler of 1666, Zellerfeld mint, on this death. Handsome patina, small edge cracks, very fine.)"
This commemorative has a matching thaler (Dav-6376).
