This specimen was lot 957 in Jean Elsen sale 114 (Brussels, September 2012) where it sold for €170 (about US$263 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[2] noted,
"ALLEMAGNE, BRUNSWICK-WOLFENBÜTTEL, Heinrich der Jüngere (1514-1568), AR Taler, 1565, Goslar. Droit: B. à gauche, coiffé d'une toque, portant le collier de la Toison d'or. Revers: Ecu écartelé tenu par un homme sauvage, surmonté d'un heaume et entouré du collier de la Toison d'or. Beau à Très Beau. (Germany, Brunswick-Wolfenbuttel, Henry the Younger (1514-1568), silver thaler of 1565, Goslar mint. Obverse: bust to left with cap and the Order of the Golden Fleece; reverse: Quartered arms borne by a wild man, helmet above, Order of the Golden Fleece around. Fine to very fine.)"
This type was issued 1557-68 and is fairly common for the period. This specimen appears to have a mount mark on the reverse.
