Kunker sale 263, lot 790
This specimen was lot 790 in Künker sale 263 (Osnabrück, June 2015), where it sold for €600 (about US$775 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"BRAUNSCHWEIG-CALENBERG-HANNOVER, Georg, 1636-1641. Reichstaler 1641, Zellerfeld. Hübsche Patina, sehr schön +. (Germany, duchy of Brunswick-Calenberg-Hannover, George I, 1636-41, thaler of 1641, Zellerfeld mint. Nice patina, very fine or better.)"
This type of 1639-42 is somewhat scarce compared to others such as Dav-6508.
