This specimen was lot 1585 in Stephen Album sale 30 (Santa Rosa, CA, January 2018), where it sold for $352.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "BRITISH WEST AFRICA: George V, 1910-1936, 6 pence, 1936-KN, only 32 examples known, PCGS graded Specimen-66, ex King's Norton Mint Collection." This type was struck at London, Heaton and King's Norton (shown here) 1920, 1923-25, 1928, 1933-36 in substantial quantities but nice specimens are scarce.

Recorded mintage: 2,696,000 plus specimens.

Specification: tin brass, 19.3 mm diameter.
