This specimen was lot 40014 in Ponterio sale 168 (Philadelphia, August 2012), where it sold for $4,744. The catalog description[1] noted, "AUSTRIA. Ducat, 1636-HZ. Bre[s]lau Mint. NGC AU-55. Ferdinand II (1619-37)." The second specimen was lot 3407 in Künker sale 294 (Osnabruck, Germany, July 2017), where it sold for €3,200 (about US$4,313 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[2] noted,
"RÖMISCH-DEUTSCHES REICH, Ferdinand II. 1592-1618-1637. Dukat 1636, HZ, Breslau. GOLD. RR Sehr schön-vorzüglich. (Holy Roman Empire, Ferdinand II, 1618-37, ducat of 1636, Breslau mint. Rare, very fine to extremely fine.)"
