Brazil 1920 200 reis
Shown is a copper-nickel hundred réis of the United States of Brazil. This is the regular issue, struck 1918-35. Commemorative two hundred réis were issued in the 1930's which, not surprisingly, are much easier to find in nice condition than this type. The two hundred réis gradually shrank (KM 537 and KM 545) until its abolition in 1942 with the reform of the coinage in that year.
Recorded mintage: 1,657,000.
Specification: 7.8 g, copper-nickel, 25 mm diameter.
Catalog reference: KM 518.
