This specimen was lot 23863 in Heritage sale 3026 (Long Beach, October 2013), where it sold for $14,100. The catalog description noted, "Maria I & Pedro III gold 3200 Reis 1783-B, VF35 NGC. "B" to far right after date. Strong, problem-free Very Fine coin. Scarcer Date. Ex-Norweb (lot#889- Spink America March 1997) From The RLM Collection, Part II." The peça or 6400 réis was the most common gold denomination with its fractions being much scarcer.
