The frist specimen was lot 23260 in Heritage sale 3024 (Chicago, April 2013), where it sold for $1,527.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "João V gold 400 Reis 1734-M, AU53 NGC, another "Quartinho" that is far superior to the pieces that usually surface in the market. Reverse is lustrous and near mint state. Last year of issue. From The RLM Collection." This type was struck in Minas Gerais 1730-34 and in Rio in 1734.

Specification: .89 g, .917 fine gold, .026 troy oz AGW.
