This specimen was part of lot 22681 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Chicago, August 2019), which sold for $780. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Octet of Silver Minors (8 Pieces), 1530-1861. All NGC Certified. ...3) Brandenburg 1698-SD 18 Groscher (1/5 Taler), Friedrich III, MS-63. ...A good mix of types that mostly would have circulated in Silesia and western POLAND." This type is listed for 1698-1700 and is common. The Konigsberg mint minted this denomination in large quantities 1651-1700.
